Barebone Shuttle XH110
XH110V to mała obudowa dolnba pomieścić dużo nowych technologii. Dwa dyski 2,5" plus karta SSD M.2, procesory Intel Core szóstej generacji, 32GB pamięci DDR3, obsługa dwóch wyświetlaczy UltraHD, dwa Gigabtowe złącza LAN, osiem portów USB i dwa porty Serial.
This machine is provided with a hardware solution to keep it permanently switched on (e.g. after a power outage). If you remove the jumper documented in the manual, the PC then starts as soon as the power supply is restored.
The DisplayPort connector allows for connections with digital high-resolution displays. Depending on processor and display model resolutions of up to 4K/Ultra HD (3840x2160) can be achieved. Besides picture signal, DisplayPort cables can also lead digital sounds signals in excellent quality.
Goodbye cable spaghetti! Modern flat-screen TVs and large-format TFT screens can be connected to this Mini-PC with just a single thin cable. Often the audio output is also transferred in brilliant quality via the HDMI cable.
The interface for the fastest of memory media
Internal drives to be used inside this Mini-PC can transfer data at a speed of up to 6 Gbit/s. Hard drives thus run significantly faster and brand-new media technologies such as SSDs can use their full potential. Be sure to look for SATA 6 Gbit/s.
With the inbuilt sound card you can connect up to six speakers. Get your own personal surround-sound experience at home.
The Kensington Lock forms part of the anti-theft system. As with many other Notebooks, this Mini-PC can also be safely locked, ensuring long-term enjoyment from your Shuttle product.
The fastest connection to external peripheral devices available to date
The USB 3.0 connectors of this model allow for data transfer of up to 5 Gbit/s (625 MB/s). This enables external devices such as USB hard disks to be connected and run at nearly the same speed as their internal siblings. USB 3.0 is downward compatible so that also devices of previous USB generations can be hooked up.
In this model the ports and drives are hidden behind moveable panels that offer ideal protection from dust and ensure a clean, harmonious look. Not everyone needs to be able to see just what your Mini-PC can do.
Fan-less external power supply
A highly effective external power supply provides the Shuttle Mini-PC with its energy. And since it works without a fan, it is completely noise-free.
Dual network connection
In this model two gigabit network controllers ensure maximum data transmission rates via load balancing and maximum availability via the failover function.
Intelligent fan control
The Smart Fan system promises low operating noise with its large, slowly rotating fans, which generate a very large airflow and have automatic variable speed control.
Pre-assembled cabling saves time
The most important power and data cables are already routed and just have to inserted into the relevant components. This saves valuable time when setting up the system.
Intel chipset inside
Play it safe with the reliable chipsets from the world's largest chip manufacturer. Intel chipsets have proven themselves over many years, have been presented with awards by the trade press and offer the best possible degree of compatibility.
Just 2.5" HDDs
An extremely compact PC housing offers less space for drives, that's why this Mini-PC uses slimline 2.5-inch hard disks. The advantage of this is that there's less noise, less heat generated and reduced power consumption. However small hard disks in a small housing does not have to mean less memory. Modern 2.5" HDDs are every bit as good as their 3.5" brothers.
You can rely on SSD
This is where an energy-saving "Solid State Drive" should be used. This drive technology guarantees extremely short access times, the highest data transmission rates and considerably lower energy consumption compared to conventional hard disks. SSDs have no mechanical components at all, are therefore subject to less wear and tear and consequently benefit from a longer service life.
For a longer life and more system stability
All the components of the highly integrated mainboard of this PC are fitted with modern solid capacitors, which offer six times the lifespan of normal capacitors.

 Power on after power fail:
The BIOS setup provides a "Power-On after Power Fail" function that can be found under "Power Management Configuration". As the name indicates, this function determines the PC's behaviour after power failure: (1) unconditional power on, (2) restore former status or (3) keep system turned off. As a matter of the nature of this function, it may fail after short power failures. This is why this PC also comes with a hardware-based solution. By removing the appropriate jumper, the system will start unconditionally once power is supplied.
How to convert DisplayPort into HDMI/DVI
The DisplayPort outputs can be converted to HDMI or DVI by an additional, passive adapter cable. For example:
DELOCK 82590: 1m, DisplayPort (male, 20p) to HDMI-A (male, 19p)
DELOCK 82435: 5m, DisplayPort (male, 20p) to DVI-D (male, 24p)
The integrated graphics automatically detects the connected display and puts out the appropriate electric signal - either DisplayPort (without an adapter) or HDMI/DVI (with an adapter).
However, a monitor with a DisplayPort connector cannot be connected to the HDMI port with a simple, passive adapter.
For Blu-ray playback appropriate software and a Blu-ray drive is required (not included).
 Optional Wireless LAN module:
This Slim PC supports an optional WLAN module which consists of an M.2 expansion card with IEEE 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 functionality and two external antennas with appropriate cables. Shuttle offers its suitable accessory kit "WLN-M".
 4K Ultra-HD resolution
A 4K-display with Ultra HD resolution (3840 x 2160) should be connected via DisplayPort, as only this port supports a higher refresh rate of 60Hz. Certain displays (e.g. Dell UP2414Q) however require MST mode (Multi-Stream Transport) to be enabled which sends two separate images at half resolution each to the display. These two images are then combined and put in correct order by the Intel graphics driver when in Collage mode. Please note that HBR2-mode (High Bit Rate 2) must be supported by each display to have two of them run at 4K resolution.
The video playback performance depends on the video format, bit rate and the processor used. Daily office applications usually won't require the system to run under full load, however for smooth 4K (2160p) video playback requirements are different. An Intel Core i3 processor or higher is required here, since the performance of the integrated graphics engine of a Celeron or Pentium processor does not suffice.
 Optional accessory: Drive bay cover
This accessory provides three additional COM ports to the front panel which means the upper bay can no longer be used for an optical drive.
 High ambient temperature
For high ambient temperature over 40°C we strongly recommend to use SSDs instead of hard disk drives.
The optional accessory PHD4 allows for installation of one 3.5" hard drive. However doing so means no other drives such as a slimline DVD drive or a 2.5" HDD/SSD can be used.
 Power connector for SATA drives
The supplied power cables for SATA drives provide a voltage of 5V. Only in very exceptional cases a 2.5" hard disk also requires a 12V line, which is not supported out-of-the-box (only via an optional adapter, included by PHD4).
 Teaming Mode
The teaming function allows for grouping both available network adapters to work as one single adapter. The benefit of this approach is that it enables load balancing and failover.
Why may the PS/2 port help install Windows 7?
The Intel® 100 chipset series has done away with support for the Enhanced Host Controller Interface (EHCI) which is the driver software for the USB 2.0 ports. The new chipset only supports the updated Extensible Host Controller Interface (xHCI for USB 3.0) which is not supported by the original Windows 7 installation disk. This means, that peripheral devices connected by USB (like keyboard, mouse and external optical drive) will not work during Windows 7 Installation. There are two solutions: (1) use a PS/2 keyboard or a PS/2 mouse and install Windows 7 from an internal Slimline DVD drive or (2) add the required USB 3.0 drivers to the Windows 7 installation files - this procedure is explained in the Shuttle FAQ section at global.shuttle.com.
 Memory compatibility
This mainboard supports DDR3L-1333/1600 SO-DIMM memory modules. DDR3L has a lower operation voltage (1.35V) compared to DDR3 (1.5V). However, some modules are approved for both voltages.
Memory modules that are designed for higher frequencies can also be used. The installed modules then run as DDR3L-1600.
An SO-DIMM is a small outline version of a DIMM. These are particularly designed for small PCs and laptops where full-size DIMMs wouldn't fit.
 Optional D-Sub/VGA connector
The mainboard features one analog graphics port. This 15-pin D-Sub VGA connector can be lead to the outside of the backpanel by using an optional adapter PVG01. However doing so means one serial port (COM2) less can be used at the backpanel.
